Selling Options HQ is built with the intention in mind to be the home for options sellers. Whether you are completely new to selling options or have been doing it for years, this is a place to connect, learn, and grow together.
Story time
Like many traders, my journey started in 2020 when COVID happened. I was working at my first desk job at an education company based in DFW. This desk job allowed me to get my foot through the door in terms of tech, but it also introduced me to the stock market.
2021, if you ever experienced it, was a rollercoaster like no other. COVID stocks were pumping on news of vaccines being produced. I made a boatload of money, but I also lost a boatload of money. Looking back, being 22–23 years old with a lot of money is bound to create some mistakes.
I've tried countless strategies over the years, but what really clicked for me and got the ball rolling was selling options. I've had success in the past, but slowly, I've learned more and more. I started taking technical analysis more seriously. I started reading more. I started documenting my journey.
I'm currently still on my journey to $100k. It ain't pretty, and it's not all sunshine and rainbows. What I've learned along the way is to manage your risk and stack the small wins. Easier said than done, right? We've all been there, done that. This platform was built as a way for me to enhance my knowledge as an options seller, while also wanting to build a community of like-minded individuals with one shared goal in mind: We all want to make money in the market.
