Options Trading Journey: $6K to $100K - Week 4

Week 4 Performance Overview
- Current Account Balance: $6,062
- Market Conditions: Continued volatility across sectors

My Week 4 Trades
This week brought several significant developments to my portfolio, requiring active management across multiple positions:
$NBIS Assignment
My $NBIS cash secured put was assigned early this week. While this wasn't my initial plan, I remain strongly bullish on NBIS as a growth opportunity in the AI infrastructure sector.
My conviction in NBIS is based on the team behind it:
- Founded by Arkady Volozh, who previously built Yandex (often called "the Google of Russia")
- After Yandex was delisted from NASDAQ following the Ukraine conflict, Volozh separated from Russian assets and established Nebius in the Netherlands
- The core team from Yandex transferred to Nebius, bringing their proven expertise in building scalable technology infrastructure
There's a saying: "Invest in people, not ideas." The track record of Arkady and his team gives me confidence in their ability to make significant inroads in the AI infrastructure space. I'll be holding this position and implementing a covered calls strategy to generate income while I wait for the thesis to play out.
$MSTX Exit and New Positions
I sold my $MSTX position for a slight loss ahead of Friday's Crypto Summit. While the summit was a positive step for crypto regulation, the broader crypto sector continues to face significant pressure alongside the general market downturn.
With the freed-up capital, I've made several strategic moves:
- Opened a new CSP position on $SOXL (leveraged semiconductor ETF) with a net credit of approximately $18 minus the losses from $MSTX
- Initiated swing positions in $GOOG and $HIMS, targeting short-term opportunities
A core principle of my trading approach is that every dollar counts. Even modest gains of $5, $10, or $20 contribute meaningfully to long-term growth when consistently accumulated. This "stacking small wins" approach helps maintain discipline and steady progress toward my $100K goal, especially during challenging market conditions.
What I'm Holding Now
As of March 9, 2025, here's my current portfolio:
- 100 shares of $NBIS (Selling covered calls weekly)
- 6 shares of $AMD (average cost: $112.77)
- 115 shares of $EVGO (average cost: $3.47)
- 1 $SOXL CSP ($19 strike)
- 4 shares of $HIMS (average cost: $36.27)
- 2 shares of $GOOG (average cost: $176.13)
My Next Moves
Looking ahead to week 5, my strategy focuses on:
- Implementing a covered calls strategy on my newly assigned $NBIS shares to generate income
- Monitoring my $SOXL CSP position as semiconductor stocks continue to show volatility
- Setting tight exit targets for my swing positions to capture small but consistent wins
- Continuing to use our options scanner to identify additional premium-selling opportunities
